Oleo's India Limited (POIL) is a family
owned company that
is professionally managed and continues the tradition established by our ancestors.
POIL, established in 1992 by
VPSA Paramasiva Nadar, has rapidly
grown to be one of the largest manufacturers
and exporters of chillies and chillie products.
From humble beginnings more than a hundred years
ago the family rose to be the top exporter
of dried chillies from India since 1942.
It was VPSA Paramasiva Nadar who first exported
stemless chillies from India in 1964. We now
deal in the entire range of chillie based products
from stemless chillies, crushed and ground chillies
to capsicum and paprika oleoresins
to pure capsaicin and xantho red powder.
Though
our forte continues to be chillies we along with
our associated companies have an ever widening
market for other spices such
as turmeric, dry ginger, curry leaves, coriander,
sesame seeds, peanuts cotton seed, neem products
etc. We also have diversified interests in manufacture
of cotton yarn, operate our own refrigerated warehouses
and are distributors for FMCG products of leading
companies such as ITC for their
tobacco and food products.
